Linking Facebook To Twitter |  So you have a Facebook page and Twitter account set up for your organisation and you are (or must be) publishing interesting and pertinent material related to your industry regularly to engage your fans or fans.

But staying active on both networks can begin to become a drain on your available marketing time, particularly if like lots of others you get drawn into a rabbit warren of friends and family members pictures, tweets, status updates and remarks each time you visit.

One method to conserve time however still appear to be active on both networks is to connect your accounts together, either Facebook to Twitter or vice-versa, so that you only need to post once on one social network however the very same material is posted to the other network( s) automatically.

There are several ways to establish auto-posting in between social media networks. There are tools that can auto-post in between Facebook and Twitter in addition to other networks, one such tool is called IFTTT and you can check out more about it here.

However both Facebook and Twitter now have options to auto-post tweets/status updates to each other, and its just a case of flicking the best switches. Whether you link Twitter to publish on Facebook or Facebook to publish to Twitter depends on you, it really depends on which network you choose (or is less of a time drain for you) to be on.

Linking Facebook To Twitter

At the time of composing Facebook is actively encouraging you to auto-post your content to Twitter, at the top of your welcome screen (under the search bar) might be the message ...

" Connect your page to your Twitter account. You can now export your Facebook page updates to Twitter. Click here to allow this feature."

If you do see that message once you have visited to facebook then go ahead and click the link. If you don't see the message then open a brand-new web browser window and paste in the following url--

Click 'link my profile to Twitter'

If you have been posting as your page you will get a message stating "To access this page, you'll need to switch from using Facebook as your page to utilizing Facebook as yourself." So click to return to using FB as your name.

( Do not fret we can establish some alternatives later on so only your page will be connected to Twitter and not your individual profile updates-- unless you want them to be).

Click "link my profile to twitter" and license FB to use Twitter by entering your log in details.

You will then see the following page. You wish to un-check all packages next to your name and click 'save modifications'.

Click the button 'Link to Twitter' beside the page you desire to link.

You will have to license Twitter again however you should not need to re-enter your information as you are currently visited.

You will now have another series of check boxes to inform Facebook which types of content you wish to auto-post. Its approximately you, but the minimum you wish to consist of is status updates (I leave all packages inspected to share all material)-- struck save modifications.

Go back to utilizing Facebook as your page. You can do this by clicking the little down arrow on top right of the screen next to 'home' you will see an alternative to 'use Facebook as ...' Click the button next to your page and you will now be publishing to FB as your business page.

Anything you post as your page will just be noticeable on Facebook to those who have 'liked' your page (aka 'fans') and anything you post whilst in this mode will now automatically post to your Twitter stream up until you disable the service.

Task Done.

A note about material-- Twitter only allows 140 characters per post-- Facebook enables significantly more (as much as 60,000 characters at the time of writing). Fortunately though, if you publish something larger than 140 characters to Facebook, Twitter will abbreviate it and connect back to the full post on FB.

Ensure you start your posts with something pertinent to the primary material so that your Twitter followers are enticed to click the link over to Facebook to check out more.

The Best Ways To Connect Twitter To Auto Post To Facebook.

Connecting Twitter to Facebook is a bit more easy than the opposite method, one draw back however is that the Facebook variation of your Tweet will contain a byline underneath the post showing 'sent out by means of Twitter'.

This may or might not influence your FB fans, you may get less engagement. But my guess is many individuals wont give it a doubt.

So lets get stuck in ...

Visit to Twitter and click the small arrow beside the profile shape. Then click 'settings'.

Then select 'profile' and at the extremely bottom under your bio etc, you will see a button identified 'Post your tweets to Facebook' hit that to check in and authorize.

As soon as connected you will be provided some choices. Un-check the box next to profile and check the box beside page, choose your FB page from the list.

A window from Facebook will now pop up, Click 'Allow', then click minimize your profile and its done! Now whatever you tweet will immediately publish to your Facebook page-- Sorted!
