Facebook Group Names
Luckily the group name isn't really because small category of irreversible names, and it's not entirely obvious how to change it, however it can be done.
That's why you're here, right?!
To begin, go to your group page on Facebook but do not click "Edit Settings" due to the fact that it ain't exactly what you want. Instead look down the best side of the page. About a third of the way down you'll see these alternatives:.
Click on "Edit Group" and you'll see a lots of various options that you can customize, most significantly the group name:.
Let's focus a bit on that so you can see exactly what it looks like:.
To change your Facebook group name, merely click in the text box that has the current name and use DELETE, arrows and similar to alter the name to one that's more proper. For this presentation, I altered the group name from "Front Variety Blog Writer Meetup: The Facebook Group" to just "Front Variety Blog Writer Meetup".
When you've set it properly, click "Conserve" at the bottom of the window and.
Done. Not too tough once you understand where to click.
Confusingly, though, the page that includes the notification of the modification being accepted still has the old name showed:.
No worries. That's simply a caching problem: click on "Back to Group" and we see the :.
Now we're done and it's validated.
I need to discuss that everyone in the group will see an update notification that the name has been changed, but I can't think of that's a problem:.
Best of luck with your own Facebook Group Names.
